A monitor is a relatively small warship that is neither fast nor strongly armored but carries disproportionately large guns.
This one has been found abandonned in space, has no known blueprints and we couldn't find the name in the computer logs as they were all fried. This ship has probably been thrown together as urgent defence, but the lack of wear on the weaponnery and the lack of ammunition in storage suggests that it never saw combat and was forgotten. Still, the ADR decided to take this ship and is working on reverse engineering it as the concept of overwhelming firepower, minimal costs is a very good propaganda argument.
