Datasheet for Chase

Design: Hard. A classical small shield large cannon orbiwall with a big focus on survivability. While the overall design is not hard to replicate, it includes many small optimisations that push the ships survivability and sustain further than any of my previous orbiwalls and the setup went through rigorous testing to make sure it performs well under pressure and against a variety of archetypes. Another major consideration in the designing of this wall was making armor and shield phasing with the cannons as consistent as possible.

Piloting: Hard. It’s an orbiwall, it lives off of flanks, traps and good piloting. Knowing your matchups and what strategies to employ in them - when to ram, when to flank, when to split - is important to see good results while piloting it. While the small shields can take a surprising amount of punishment, it’s still more vulnerable to rails, nukes, deck cannons and ions than a large shield orbiwall, so dodging hits and spreading damage is more important here. Aggressive play is your best friend in the majority of fights. Its increased firepower compared to an LS orbiwall makes it a sizable threat to most ships relying on large shields to survive, including other walls, and makes any successful flanking attack deal often critical damage, so use that to your advantage. Another strength of this kind of wall is the large cannons’ ability to phase through the opponent's defenses, which is especially useful vs ships relying on LS or using 1 layer thick side (or back) armor.

Big thank you to Rift, Antithesis and Juno for providing valuable input and helping with pushing this design even further <3
